Silver Spiny Cat Paw Shell Necklace
Rich in texture, solid, and weighty, this chic necklace was created from a natural spiny cat paw shell. I found this unusual seashell on the shores of sunny Florida and knew it would be the inspiration for a unqiue piece of jewelry.
The pendants texture reminds me of lizard skin and its peaks are reminiscent of small volcanoes. The silver is oxidized to make the details pop. A hidden jump ring on the back of the pendant, makes this peice chic and adds to a seamless design. Hung on a faceted bead chain, the sparkle in the chain contrasts with the darker matte oxidation of the shell's bumpy high and low texture.
