Montecassino Ring

Montecassino Ring

This one-of-a-kind commissioned ring was created as a cermeonial ring for the confirmation of a new Abbot for the famous Benedictine Abbey of Montecassino in Cassino, Italy.

Handcrafted in 22k yellow gold with an ancient texture, a 26 carat oval rubellite tourmaline cabochon is the main event with two 22k gold medallions set on either side.  Each medallion was created with computer imaging combining ancient and modern techniques in jewelry manufacturing. One medallion depicts the crest of the abbey while the other one displays the initials of the Abbot.

The ring now lives in the ‘tesori’ of this abbey that was founded by St. Benedict himself in the year 539.
