Selene Crescent Moon Necklace
In Ancient Greek mythology, Selene the moon goddess, was depicted with a crescent moon upon her head. Her name is derived from the Greek noun selas, meaning "light, brightness, gleam." The crescent moon's sliver of gleaming light in the nights dark sky is my favorite moon phase.
The Waning Crescent Moon marks the final phase before the moon fades into darkness, preparing for a new cycle. This phase is particularly cherished by many for its symbolism of surrender, rest, and healing. Just as Selene prepares for the next lunar cycle, it reminds us to step back from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, to rejuvenate our souls and bodies in preparation for what lies ahead.
Wear the Selene Crescent Moon Necklace as a token of self-care and mindfulness. Let it serve as a gentle nudge to prioritize rest, reflection, and rejuvenation in your daily life.
The surface of the moon is handcrafted with my signature seahorse texture, adding valleys and peaks to this out of this world necklace.
