The latest Mejia Jewelry projects have been about giving jewelry a fresh start. From heirloom treasures to everyday favorites, I’ve had the joy of transforming, repairing, and reimagining pieces so they can be loved again.

Whether it’s an heirloom in need of care, a piece that no longer fits your lifestyle, or an everyday treasure that deserves a refresh, I’d love to help. Book a Jewel Box Appointment with me, and together we’ll go through your jewelry box—choosing which pieces to sell, redesign, or simply give some extra love. Appointments are available both virtually and in person. Contact me to get started.

Below, I’m sharing some of my favorite latest jewelry renewal projects.

Diamond Tassels → Flexible Rings

Turning statement earrings into a collection of versatile diamond rings.

One pair of diamond-and-chain tassel earrings found a brand-new life as mixed metal diamond rings. By breaking down the earrings and reusing the diamonds and chain, we created numerous flexible, stackable rings—easy to wear and endlessly versatile.

Box Chain Bracelet → Heirloom Rings

When a too small bracelet becomes a legacy of wearable rings.

A client brought me a box chain bracelet that no longer fit. Instead of letting it sit unworn, we converted it into flexible rings, each one carrying the memory of the original bracelet but in a fresh, wearable form.

Sacred Medal Necklace Makeover

A treasured St. Mary medal, reimagined for everyday wear.

A meaningful St. Mary medal deserved a necklace that matched its importance. I created a laid-back faux suede necklace so the medal could be worn every day- comfortable, personal, and full of love.

Leftover Gold Sticks → Everyday Diamond Dangle Necklace

Even leftover materials can become a new favorite necklace.

With leftover gold sticks, some chain, and diamonds, we designed a diamond dangle necklace - lighthearted, textured, and perfect for everyday wear. Proof that even small “scraps” of jewelry can be reimagined into something beautiful.

Stamped Name Necklace Rework

A tangled necklace gets a sleek new look.

A previous Mejia Jewelry custom piece -a hand-stamped name bar necklace on a long silver chain kept tangling. We gave it a fresh look by moving the silver sticks onto a rubber cord and shortening the design. Now it sits neatly at the collarbone, just as my client hoped.

A Pearl Bracelet Refresh

Fresh silk thread brings pearls back to life.

Sometimes the simplest changes make the biggest difference. We restrung an old pearl bracelet on a fresh silk cord, this time in a warm neutral brown. With many silk colors to choose from, you can give pearls an update that feels truly personal. Contact me to discuss re-stringing your pearls.

Engagement Ring Facelift

A beloved engagement ring shines like new again.

One of my earliest engagement rings came back for a tune-up. Over years of daily wear, the ring had lost its round shape and some prongs had weakened. We repaired the prongs, restored its round form, polished, and rhodium plated it. The result? The ring looked brand new, and my client was overjoyed to see her engagement ring sparkle again.

A Petal Pendant from Salvaged Diamonds

A flower pendant designed to symbolize a family of eight.

Using diamonds salvaged from melted down jewelry, we created a custom flower pendant with eight petals; a symbol of my client’s six children, plus herself and her husband. She loved the result so much that it became a permanent part of her daily neck stack.

Antique Fob Chain + Krugerrand Necklace Revival

Historic treasures polished for a new chapter.

Some pieces simply need a little love to shine again. I had the privilege of revamping and cleaning an antique watch fob chain with its original gold-cased pocket watch, as well as refreshing a striking Krugerrand necklace. Both now feel polished, powerful, and ready for another generation of wear.

Every piece of jewelry holds a story, and sometimes it just needs a little care or a complete renewal to keep shining in your life. If you’ve been meaning to refresh your own collection, I’d love to help. Book a Jewel Box Appointment with me by emailing elise@mejiajewelry.com. Together we’ll breathe new life into your pieces so they’re ready to be worn, loved, and treasured for years to come.
