Fish Hook and Peacock Pearl Charm Necklace

Fish Hook and Peacock Pearl Charm Necklace

$470.00Price

A magical one-of-a-kind two-toned peacock pearl hangs magistically from a 14k gold handcrafted fish hook charm.  Adding to the whimiscal nature of the necklace, a pink tourmaline bullet shaped gemstone is set under the pearl as well. Inspired by the magic of watching the sun dip into the sea after it sets and observing the dark sky take over on a summers eve, this necklace celebrates summer and the sea with iconic symbols: fish hooks and pearls!

The pearl is two-toned: one side exhibits colors of dark grey, purple, blue, and green while the other side exhbits colors of green, pink, orange, and purple. Wear either side to suit your mood for the day.  The charms hang from a diamond cut sterling silver bead chain. Find more peacock pearls here

  • About The Gemstone

Peacock pearls display colors of dark purple, grey, green, blue and hints of peach. Their name is derived from a peacock feather since the pearl displays colors seen in this exotic bird’s plume.

Pearls are formed when an irritant is introduced into the oyster or mussel and coats the irritant with calcium carbonate called nacre. The nacre is deposited in concentric layers and builds up over time. Peacock pearls are freshwater pearls formed in mussels in lakes and ponds and take 12-24 months to grow.

Pearls are symbols of prosperity, integrity, and encourage tradition in the home.  They are also the birthstone for June babies.
