Herkimer diamonds are not diamonds at all but rather double terminated quartz crystals found in Herkimer, NY. These phenomenal gemstones are close to 500 million years old where the crystals are magnificent art works of nature having a geometric diamond like shape. I mined this gemstone myself, sifting through tubs of brown rock known as dolomite to unveil this gemstone relic. This stunning large crystal has natural flat facets that give you a window into the soul of this gemstone. Peer in to discover wispy compacted salt water from ancient seas and black sediment. Simply set on a long opera length chain or gemstone bead necklace, this crystal will be the star of a one-of-a-kind necklace.
