Rutilated Quartz

Rutilated quartz is a rock crystal quartz containing needle-like mineral inclusions of golden rutile.  Suspended in the mineral’s clear depths, rutile inclusions can be wispy or thick and create beautiful patterns. 

 

Also known as Venus hair stone: “the goddesses’ golden hair was preserved in the earth’s spirits when it was cut, because they could not bear to see it thrown away.” A romantic sentiment, this pear shaped rutilated quartz is the perfect shape to create a pendant or ring to show off its golden rutile to be adored and admired.

 

Rutilated quartz is believed to be one of the best crystals for bringing out talent, especially in the areas of creative crafts and performance.   It also encourages those not motivated to remain positive.
